Background: I have investment on STI ETF and Stash away. To further diversify, I purchase physical silver bullion from bullionstar.com every month. Silver keeps declining though and I don't know if I should continue my investment journey on precious metals. But I still have a level of confidence that it will do well some day as it has been money for thousands of years.

Never invest in physical gold or silver. They come at a high cost(storage, as well as fees). If you feel that they would be a good balance to your portfolio, you can look at buying gold ETF. They are lower in risk than futures and would work for long term investments.
They provide a hedge and usually do well when during recessions so you can definitely use them as a part of your portfolio.

Not for me, as they fall outside my competence to understand. I think it's important to understand the underlying market which includes the consideration for the cost of entry.
If you want to invest in it say Silver, you can look at Silver Savings Account with UOB, which is a savings account but in silver. βββ
