This is not an extensive list of criteria but here are some factors to consider:

  1. Definition of coverage: Yes it's early CI, but the definitions are NOT standardized. Some insurers for example, cover early cancer as long as is a positive diagnosis of carcinoma in situ, but some insurers require it to be carcinoma in situ of SPECIFIC sites. The latter scenario is far more restrictive and not something that I would want.
  2. Scope of coverage: Assuming premiums are more or less the same, how many early CIs are covered?
  3. Cost: Naturally, a cost-efficient plan may be better than the cheapest plan.
  4. Duration of coverage: For life? Till 70? This depends on the individual.
  5. Do you want the ability to make multiple claims? If so, the only way is a multipay plan.
