Hi Anon,
It is really up to your own investment preference and needs when it comes to splitting your investments. As you pointed out, there is some overlap of holdings within the portfolios - but they are constructed with two different goals in mind - one is to have a tilt towards small caps, value and profitable companies, while the other is to invest in companies that exhibit positive ESG characteristics.

I had both in endowus. Yes minimal overlaps in the top holdings and not a concern for me since my ESG portfolio is with some FI allocations. Personally I dont expect my selected ESG funds to perform better than equity.
Is your concern mainly on the overlapping?
