Do you spend to make life easier now, or strictly save for what future-you might want?

Both. We earn to both spend and save in my opinion. For me, is save enough not to be a burden to others, spend enough to sustain my health (physical and mental).

For me, it's really the wisdom to adjust one's lifestyle - don't stay at and love the high income/atas lifestyle too much (rare/occasional is fine for experiential purposes) coz when life becomes tough, it's also difficult to step down to a lower spending life. Find joy in simplicity (little to no spending).
