Do you recommend to put around S$5K to short term endowment plans or use it to invest, considering the current COVID19 situation?

It would depend on whether you have use for the money in 3-5 years' time. Personally, I would just invest it since I have no upcoming need for large amount of cash. Short term endowment plans currently are around 2%++, which I can use Singlife's account for similar (though not guaranted) performance. Investing may potentially achieve higher returns over long period.
