Do you actually need to have minimum balance of 1k on SC E$aver account? Since its a pre-requisite to pre-fund this account and then transfer the $ over to security account?

On the website, its stated that there is a fall below fee of $5 if average monthly balance is <$1000, https://www.sc.com/sg/save/savings-accounts/esa...

Can I just keep $0.01 in the E$aver account in case it gets closed?

Try Fundsupermart instead. Similar comission structure but theres no need to maintain a savings account.
