Say, I bought a resale house and I got 70k worth of grants for living near my parents. The original price of the house is 350k but thanks to the grant, the price gets pushed down to 280k.
In 6 years time, I want to sell the house. Do I have to pay the govt back the 70k? Because this will affect how much I sell the house for.

You are liable for reasale levy if you choose to buy a second subsidised flat. Most of the time this levy basically means returning all the grant you recived back to the govt

Hi, yes you have to if purchase new flat (BTO) after selling, but if your next purchase is a resale flat you don't have to pay back the grant. Regards Jesslyn Chin
