I just got my new AMEX card and I want to make a SIA flight purchase. But I don't have a Krisflyer account currently, do I need to sign up for one first or do I just use my card directly and the points will be accounted for elsewhere?

Hey! I also had this question when I first started flying on my own.
I would say, just create a free Krisflyer account! You can create one for free here: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub-kris...
Not only for the Amex krisflyer, but every other points card, if you would want to collect krisflyer points, this is how to do it and your krisflyer account is the place to collect them.

Create your Krisflyer account!! It takes less than 5 minutes, and I am pretty sure that you will utilize it very frequently with your new AMEX card :)
