Was contemplating a career shift into tech but I do not have the relevant qualifications. Came across Bootcamp ads that give certifications, and wanted to know if it would help in getting a tech job.

Hi! Considering that you do not have experience, bootcamps are a great start to build your fundamentals since the curriculums are structured and designed for beginners. Was a fellow career switcher as well, wanted to pivot into tech but unsure how. Friends working in tech recommended going for bootcamps offered by General Assembly, Vertical Institute, Le Wagon and more. Decided to go for Vertical Institute's Data Analytics course since it's largely subsidised for Singaporeans and classes were online. Really learnt a lot during my time there, becoming more proficient in Excel, SQL and Tableau. There was a capstone project at the end which I added to my portfolio too. I highly suggest continuing to build up your portfolio after completing the bootcamp and getting the certification to stand out, since that is what I did!
