Hello, I'm planning to get my first credit card but I'm abit overwhelmed on the choices. I've read many reviews and pretty much settled either on UOB Absolute Cashback or Citibank Cashbank as they don't require any minimum spend.
My priority now is bill payments on subscription services (e.g Netflix/Spotify), online/offline shopping, food and transportation. School fees later on.
Besides the sign up gift, which card would you recommend for a longer run? Thank you so much :)

Citibank Cashback+ is a better option strictly in terms of the signup rewards. It loses out to UOB Absolite in cashback %, and the procedure today redeem your cashback is unbelievably archaic. You have to send an SMS to Citibank every month telling them how much cashback you want to redeem, and it can only be redeemed in blocks (ie $10 amounts). This means you'll likely have cashback you end up not being able to use.
UOB Absolute may not offer very attractive rewards, but you can simply top up to GrabPay to qualify. Stacking your payments with GrabPay also let's you earn up to 2.9% cashback, which is significantly higher than 1.6% with Citibank. You're also able to essentially use your credit card even for QR payments since GrabPay supports PayNow and GrabPay QR, which means more flexibility for you. And thankfully, cashback is automatically used to offset your following month's statement.

Why not get both? Since the cashback is still calculated for your spendings and if the provider does...

Make things simple,
Get UOB absolute, then top up to your GrabPay.
