DBS Vickers - Self directed or Broker assisted?

Hey Seedly folks, i am interested in investing local REITs. From what i have looked, DBS Vickers seems to provide the lowest fees. Should i choose a self directed or broker assisted account and what are the difference between both of them? I tried looking up the search but couldn't get any relevant info. TIA!
