Credit cards for big purchases

Just wondering what's the best credit card for big purchases in current market now? We spend mostly on food, groceries and family stuff. Seldom travel so miles not so useful.

Or other alternatives to maximizing rebates/rewards on expenditure?

If its a big single purchase $2000:

CIti SMRT card (online purchase only) - 5% cashback - 12k annual limit
GPMC (1.2% Cashback) + UOB Absolute Amex (1.7%) = 2.9% cashback up 30k Annual Limit
Other unlimited cashback cards ~1.5%
