Could you elaborate more on the zero commission trading for Revolut?

Would it be possible in Singapore?

Only accessible for Revolut customers of certain markets (Mostly EU and UK, Singapore doesn't count!).

Customers can trade certain US stocks (~500 different choices).

Interesting points:

  • Commission-free - no brokerage cost! That's cool

  • Fractional shares - Amazon is trading at around US$1800 per share. Makes the minimum investment size a bit annoying and each increment might not match your budget. Revolut allows buying of (say) 0.1 of a share which may match your plans better.

Do note there are some other fees (custodian) that do apply for holding the shares ( but they look quite reasonable and would be part and parcel of most brokerage charge structure)
For the commission-free part - it is a quirk of the US market and so, unfortunately, looks unlikely to expand out to shares in other bourses for foreseeable future.
