Converting SGD to USD with Kristal.AI?

On Kristal.AI's website, they mention that they do "Conversions at 5bps". What does this mean?

Is it better for me to use a third party platform such as TransferWise to transfer USD into Kristal.Ai or should I use their platform to convert?

Bps stands for basis points. Mostly equal to 1% of exchange rate. Transferwise claims to give spot rates. I am not an expert but i will think transferwise will be cheaper.
