Collaboration has been widely used. Usually, it is used in business or in workplaces?

It is everywhere actually, as long as there are mutual benefits to the involved parties. It can be between businesses, community, govt, etc.

I'd say it's more commonly used in workplaces and business settings, but people also use "collaboration" for school projects, community work and even creative stuff nowadays
