What you're actually getting right now
Chocolate Finance is a managed cash account (not a bank, not a fixed deposit) run by Chocfin Pte Ltd, licensed by MAS under CMS101452. Right now the rates are:
If you're holding USD, the numbers get better:
There's also a Birthday Booster running from 1 Aug to 30 Sep 2026 β Chocolate's celebrating their 2nd birthday and SG61 by giving an extra 1% p.a. on up to S$20,000 of new money you add after opting in. Worth timing your sign-up around this if you're reading this before end September.

Why I actually like this over just leaving cash in a bank
The honest caveat
Chocolate Finance isn't SDIC-insured because it's not a bank β your money sits in segregated custody with HSBC, State Street, BNP Paribas and Citibank instead, which protects it if Chocolate itself runs into trouble, but it's a genuinely different risk profile from a savings account. There's also a Top-Up Programme that backstops the stated returns on your first S$50k during the current qualifying period, but read the fine print if capital protection matters a lot to you.
