Career first job jump. Need advice.

Been in the O&G industry since graduated from college. current company offer yearly increments, VB, AWS and good number of AL. All good except stagnant growth. Had an offer in the construction industry from being a senior executive to a manager. besides an increase in base salary, there are no VB, AWS and with AL cut.

i'm in a dilemma whether to accept the new role. Challenge always accepted. any professional advice much appreciated!

You should compare the total value of annual compensation (including bonus etc).

Since it sounds like increased responsibility, the new base salary must be more than the total comps from your current job (including the value of your difference in AL)

You should negotiate your package fiercely if you think you'd like the role for the challenge.

Make sure to check the scope of work you are asked to do before accepting. If this is truly a managerial position, i.e. you have people reporting to you, then this could be a boon for your longer term growth.

If you feel the overall package does not satisfy you for long, do consider looking again after two to three years of working.
