Can you purchase more share per ETF when using Syfe's General Investing Portfolio? Or do you have no control at all over how many shares are bought?

New to robo-advisor. Thinking to open a SYFE account and considering to deposit into a SYFE+ REITs or General Investing. However, I read that the General Investing portfolio consists of several US ETFs. GIven DCA, will I be able to purchase more shares per ETF? Is this a good time to go into the US market now?

Hi Zachary, yes, you can dollar cost average into our Global Portfolios which consists of US-listed ETFs diversified across various asset classes. As Shaun mentioned, the ETF units you can purchase with each transaction depends on the price of the ETF at the time of the purchase. With prices at a lower level now, it does mean that you can own more assets now with each investment you make.

Now could be a good time to capitalize on investment opportunities and Syfe's Global Portfolio offers an attractive starting point. There is no minimum investment, no brokerage fees, no withdrawal fees, and no lock-in period. This means you can DCA any amount you like at any time interval you prefer.

It depends on the price of the ETF at the time of the purchase.

If you believe that the US market will eventually recover in the long run, then you might want to buy in now.

If you have a sum of money, you can divide it up and space out the purchases.

You need to know what is your risk appetite and timeframe for investment.

For DCA its always time in market > timing the market...
