Can I tell if a durian is good just by looking at its outside and not inside? Sometimes some durian sellers don't like it when we ask them to open to let us see.
But then as consumers, we would of course wanna quality check.
One way is by looking at a durian's stem. The top of the stem should be white, and when you lightly scratch the side of the stem, you should see some green. This is an indication of a fresh durian.
If the top of the stem is brown, and when you lightly scratch the side of the stem, it still shows brown, means it is not a fresh durian(might be an overnight durian or a durian kept for at least 2 days).
