Can anyone share how it's like to not have a job for a few months. I'm worried because it's weird not have any salary incoming. I do have savings but i still feel insecure.

I didn't have a job for close to one year due to work place bullying and I lock myself up. It took me long enough to pick myself up again. During this one year I spend almost 10k by just eating out in the coffeeshop and by giving my parents allowance. I didn't go to any restaurants or go for any entertainment. All I do was just eat , sleep and play game. Looking back this have really helped me to find back myself. By stopping for almost one year, it look very bad for my resumes but I did pick up some part time job and attend some courses at the NTUC learnin. Right now I am working in an IT company and I am happy with what I have. Everything happen for a reason and life is too short to keep worried what haven't happen!

I understand where you come from, i experienced it for two months, it feels to good to have sufficient break and spend more time with the family. I tried to do sport, meditate and even take up courses too i think it is good where you spend more time on your self development.

However, I think it definitely feel abit unsecured when you are experiencing it.

It is normal to feel insecure. It is good that you have awareness of your feelings, so do some actions to make you feel insecure eg sending resumes.

I returned to Singapore after taking part in the Japan Exchange Teaching program. I only started to find a job when I touched down in Singapore. I refused to spend my limited time in Japan to find a job.

I sent out plenty of job applications to keep myself occupied. Also travelled to Malacca for me time, haha. I wasn't too worried because I was doing everything in my capacity to find my next job.
