Hi, I'm looking to get hospitalisation & personal accident plan for my preschooler. She's a preemie born at 32 weeks, had constant follow-ups until discharged at 2yo (SOP for all preemies) with no conditions.
However, she recently fractured her arm in Jul (cast is now off and discharged with no compulsory PT/OT sessions).
Understand that this can result in exclusions/loading in hospitalisation/personal accident plan... and there'll also be a bunch of doc reports (payable by me) that may be requested for, even if I want to do a "preliminary check" before formally applying.
Does anyone know if waiting for a certain period of time will make it "easier" to apply for these policies?
Hospitalisation policies I'm considering: NTUC / AIA / Prudential
Personal Accident policy: Sompo - open to others with similar coverage
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello there! Glad to know that your baby is now recovered. Before you start your application, do have the doctor's reports ready that indicates that she has been fully dischraged without any further follow up and also comment on the range of movement of her arm. The accident plan will not require any additonal medical reports, but if there is a claim made on the same arm again, there may be some complications on the claim if its implicated by the old injury. Hopet this helps! We also wrote about the different integrated shield plans here: https://plannerbee.co/best-integrated-shield-in...

It is pretty hard to give a good answer, because the only ones that can say for sure are the claim assessors.
What we can help here is to let you understand that, doctors medical report is important. Whatever is declared (especially material facts) will help to ensure future claims having less issue.
So do not be afraid of the cumbersome process, because that in itself gives you a better peace of mind knowing what can be accepted and what can be excluded earlier on, rather than going into the hospital now knowing whether its covered or not.
