BTO or resale?

First time intending to buy a house, newly married couple, both Sgporean.
1. There is a lot of hype about BTO but am not sure if we dan get a good location and the waiting time etc. also not comfortable with buying without seeing first. But is BTO really that much more beneficial than resale?

2.Also, other than BTO, are there normal new flats that will come to sale, view after built and purchase? Or is it all BTOs now?

BTO current wait time is super long! You might have heard stories about people selling their BTO and earned quite a fortune. However, do take into account the 5y construction wait time(covid time) and 5y MOP. Besides, buying resale allow you to draw on quite a bit of additional housing grant. (can be up to 80k more if you strategize!)
You might want to look at Sale of Balance Flats in HDB portals.
