Between Aviva SAF term life and personal accident and employer health/accident policy am I sufficiently covered?

I'm in my mid 20s.

i have purchased the SAF group insurance that covers the lowest level of group term life and personal accident.

my employer has policy that covers my Heath insurance plan(specialists and GPs)

am I sufficiently covered for someone with no dependents

For TPD cases (total permanent disability), the coverage can never be enough, because you will be insuring 50 years of life at least. If we went overboard to cover it, the premiums may be too expensive.

Hence, i can only give general rule of the thumb and say that having a $500,000 coverage should be enough to generate $1,666 monthly. Would this be enough for most people? Yes, and no. But we do what we can. Or maybe others suggested disability income instead.

For CI, rule of thumb is 5 years of income (for you to recover your health), and enough time to adjust your lifestyle. Hence, that may be enough for $100,000 coverage.

Hi there! Based on the information ou gave, I would say you are not sufficiently covered. The SAF group term life's coverage that you have is most likely not enough, especially since you got the lowest level. As for employer health insurance, it depends on the policy itself. However, Integrated Shield Plans are generally more comprehensive thant he ones provided by employers, so it is worth taking a look.

You will have to speak with a financial advisor to find out what level of coverage is suffucient for you. It all depends on your goals, income, assets, liabilities and number of dependants.

Hi,

It is better if you get your own Health Insurance policies (Integrated Shield Plan) instead ...
