Better pay, work-life balance and recognition for engineers

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/better-p...

Are there any updates to this yet? Been trying to google it but there's nothing being said about this? Am currently a NTU Mech Engineer going to grad this semester. Currently bonded to BCA scholarship for 2 years in a local M&E Consultantcy. Pay indicated in mycareersfuture is $3.6-4.5k, any advice on whether I should break the bond and find a better paying job in other industries and incur paying 10% interest to the $36k given to me, or maybe ride it out and stay due to possible recession the next 2 years?

Yeah breaking bond is not a good thing - kinda reflect badly on yourself unless you have very valid reason.

The article is report on what was said in symposium... , just talk no guarantee will have follow up action

The indicated salary range does not mean it's the salary you will get. Wait till you get the pay package. Break bond is not a good thing to do. A person who can break bond can break promise can break contract can break commitment cannot be trusted.
