I've used an Asus Zenbook 13 and I'm currently using a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7, so I can only speak for these 2.
The Asus Zenbook 13 lasted me 4 years in Uni. It is still in good condition actually so my mum intends to give it to my cousin. The specs are:
I can't speak for the latest generations of Zenbooks using the newer Intel chips cos they are more prone to overheating iirc.
My current laptop is pretty good. It doesn't really overheat and it's very quiet. Here are the specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 4700U
16GB RAM
1TB SSD
The best part is that I paid around the same price for both of these laptops (~1.3k) because I used the student discount for Lenovo and ordered online. Admittedly, it almost took a few months for the order to arrive (due to parts shortages), but it arrived sooner than expected.
You should look at the individual reviews on these laptops. These are the YouTubers I referred to when I was purchasing my new laptop:
I honestly don't think you'll go very wrong with Asus and Lenovo. Their slim and light laptops are pretty decent, which is great for uni students.
