Besides SCB Livefx, what's the other better way to convert SGD to USD for US investments?

I am now using standard chartered online trading as my trading platform. Knowing that TransferWise uses the real exchange rate. Just wondering if we can use transferwise to convert SGD to USD and then transfer this USD to my standard chartered USD securities settlement account?
