As a millennial how much do I need to put a side each month to comfortably purchase my first property?

As a millennial who purchased my first property at 26, I would put aside at least 2k a month from the time I started working.

Prior to purchasing property, I also spent my weekends looking at real estate to get a feel of the different neighbourhoods in Singapore.

At least $500-800 a month for 5 years.
