IBKR is a low-cost brokerage that is simple to use

I use IBKR mainly to buy US ETFs (A basket of stable and fast growth companies) that are domiciled in Ireland. Being domiciled in ireland means that you only pay a 15% tax on dividends, instead of the standard 30% on regular US ETFs. I buy US ETFs every month as part of my monthly investment plan.

Other low-cost brokerages such as Tiger Broker and MooMoo do not offer Irish domiciled shares.
Use my referral link https://ibkr.com/referral/leonard934 and earn up to $1,000 in IBKR stock ($1 earned For every $100 in deposits in the first year)

Thanks for using! Don't be afraid to ask me if you have any questions on my experience on the platform or how to signup!

Hi there!

There is a 15 minute delay between live market price and IBKR. Most brokers are like that including TDAmeritrade, FSMOne, etc. However, you have the option to purchase live data if you wish so. They are available on their professional trading software (ToS, IBKR Workstation).

However, your portfolio is marked at live market prices. Meaning your PnL on IBKR reflects current prices and not the 15 minute delay price. That is your PnL only, but not the price.

That also implies that if IBKR price is showing e.g. $150, if you try to put a limit order, don't expect to get filled at that price if current live price is for example, $155.

I agree that it gets frustrating sometime. I recommend pulling live prices from TradingView side by side while you are trying to execute limit orders.

Hope that helps.
