Anyone one of you working from home indefinitely? I just found out from my friend that her company does that. Hence, wondering if it's common as it's my first time hearing such a situation?

I prefer working from home and finds it more effective sometimes.

I think the term you're looking for is remote working! There are a lot of remote workers out in the world (myself included) but pre-pandemic, it's often for certain industries that "fits well" with that working arrangement. Ironically, covid actually proves that WFH is viable evn for a lot of conventional office work as well.

You can ask from your company if they allow at least 1 or 2 days of WFH just to prove your increased productivity. Then you can continue from there.

I would love to be given the option (not compulsory) to WFH. While it can be convenient to WFH, I feel it is that it is lacking the human interaction, which is important for meetings/discussion, which can be achieved through face-to-face communication. Perhaps, office for a day or two during the week and the rest of the time at home.
