Been seeing advertisements on a trading platform called Firstrade with $0 fees on trading and commissions. Any advice on the platform from anyone who has used it?

I've been using Firstrade for the past 6 months now. I would have to say it's got one of the best mobile interfaces & is slowly catching up within my peers after I had introduced them to it. The great thing is that there is no minimum balance, no account maintenance fee & $0 commision. The catch however is the outbound FOREX transfer that you have to incur. I had been using OCBC to do so & I get charged SGD22 for a USD2,000 transfer. Just learnt about DBS Remit & it's fees are lower and it's transfered within a day.
My take is that Firstrade is great if you're looking for active trading so that you save on the trading fees. I have certain shares that I keep for passive stocks & certain that I trade on a weekly basis. So, I do save a fair bit there. Hope this helps.
