Any suggestions for side incomes for a guy that is serving full time NS currently? I am looking for other sources of income that will allow me to gain better returns compared to the STI ETF. Any suggestions ?

As a fill time NSF, your income sources are really limited due to restrictions with SAF. I do not suggest you to try to break the law for this. Therefore, I would suggest that you try to save more. A dollar saved is a dollar earned.

In addition, you can also sell stuffs on carousell. We have bought so many stuffs in our lives and I am sure they are taking up spaces in your home, your room. Declutter by selling them and make some money at the same time.​​​

During the weekends, you can consider dog walking, teaching tuition, selling things on carousell.

But more importantly if you have the time, read books on personal finance, investments, insurance etc. so that you are way ahead of your peers in managing your finances.

I would consider giving tuition, especially on weekends, it will provide you with quite a good amount of extra cash with the amount of time spent. And if you like it, you might even want to continue doing so even when you get into university.

There is not much you can do during NS as moonlighting is not allowed. However you can do grabhitch during your offdays to earn some extra income.
