Hi Anon,
For miles, I'd recommend 4 mpd cards like HSBC Revolution and Citi Rewards/UOB PPV. The reason you will need 2 is because these cards only earn 4mpd on the first $1k spending every month. If you will exceed this $1k, the earn rate becomes 0.4mpd. By having at least 2, you will be able to maximise your 4 mpd earn rate and total miles earn rate.
For cashback, you can consider UOB EVOL, DBS Live fresh, OCBC frank. These cards earn high cashback (5-8%) on online spending and other categories like contactless payment. But again, these high cashback are capped at $20/category/month. Chances are you will hit this cap, so you should get 2 cards to maximise your total cashback. Just take note when you're splitting your expenses that these cards have monthly minimum spending, so you'll need to make sure you fulfil those.
Hope this helps!
