Any advice on funding and transferring portfolio in future using TD ameritrade for buying US stocks?

  1. i read that for ibkr, it’s possible to do sgx fund transfer then convert with ibkr and rates are good. is it the same for td?
  2. i’m thinking of going with td for now because of the min usd100k aim for fee waiver for ibkr. if say i manage to built a >usd100k portfolio in the future, can i then move my portfolio (without selling and rebuying) from td to ibkr? is this advisable?

I have been using TD for 3 years already. I havent tried other platforms as TD is easy for me to use.

Admin fee for buying stocks is $5usd per purchase. I feel TD is best for trading Options, but trading options do require more understanding and learning.

Funding TD is very easy - They accept wire transfer and transfers from DBS accounts.

Wire transfer takes a few hours to 1 day to be reflected in your account. DBS transfer can take 3-5 days from personal experience. All step-by-step instructions can be found on their TD website once you have created an account.
