Annual Fee Waiver for AMEX True Cashback
Hello AMEX true cashback card holders,
Based on your experience, may I ask how easy is it to have annual fee waived for this specific AMEX card after the first year?
In general, are AMEX cards easy to have annual fees waived?

Call their customer service line and make a request to have the fee waived. They will usually agree to waive your fee. I have cards where I barely spend anything (<$100/month) and they will waive the fees. The market is so competitive that they will usually do away with fees to retain you a customer. The fees are really there to generate extra revenue from clients who don't call in to request a waiver...

Amex usually offer waivers for spending on their cards based on usage patterns. There’s no magic number but generally 500-1k a month.
Alternatively you can consider the UOB Absolute Cashback card which offers 1.7% cashback and local banks are usually more lenient for low spending brackets.
