I'm in my 40s and don't have a license. Don't intend to take one either

Hang in there, it takes time to learn.

When you are in practice, go mount and strike curb so you know how it feels. Then during the test you will be able to avoid those mistakes.

Maybe you should take BMW - bus, MRT, walk

No, everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Not being able to drive doesnt define you unless your whole life depends on it like if you are a formula one driver or something. Learn at your own pace. Take a break from lessons and come back to it in a few months with a fresh perspective. The stress of completing it now sounds like it is getting to you. The skill of driving doesnt end when you pass your license. You can still lose it and hurt someone when you are on your own on the roads. Furthermore, driverless vehicles are coming so driving isnt an essential skill of the future.
