[Advice needed] How much do I need to save to get a resale HDB

I would like to get some advice from the grp members.

I am currently 32yo and thinking to get a resale 3rm HDB when turning 35.

Some of my basic financial info:-

1) Monthly salary ard 3.4k

2) Annual bonus + AWS ard 3 months

3) Current personal saving ard 70k, CPF OA ard 67k

I would like to know roughly how much I need (personal saving + CPF OA) to achieve my target?

Thank you.

Use the HDB website la. You can also use propertyguru, srx webite mortgage calculator.

Easy, just go to https://homes.hdb.gov.sg/home/calculator/budget - login with your Singpass. All the amount will be populated and you will know the price of the flat you can afford / cash savings you need.

The more honest you are in filling the form the more accurate. I am a home buyer myself and I used that. I must say it's very accurate for me.

The rest of the websites/methods are estimate / overly optimistic - I also tried. Already a HDB flat owner now.

The price of a resale flat depends on various factors, such as the location and also the remaining lease of the flat. You can first check out the price of the flats in the area you are interested in as a rough estimate. You might also find this article helpful as it covers some of the costs that you might overlook when calculating how much you need.

It would be really dependent on the location and price. I would say that money is never enough. Just save up and who knows, sometimes u might want smth that you can comfortably afford.

Mm What exactly is your target? A resale 3 room now ranges from 300k in a less popular area to 500k ...
