Hi Anon,
Whether cashback or miles is better is pretty subjective. Cashback tends to be earned at a lower rate than miles, but have the advantage of being valuable almost immediately (cash). Miles tend to be earned at a higher rate, but their value is only realised when you actually redeem miles for flights.
Miles are valued by The MileLion at 1.9c/mile. Using cards that earn 4 miles/dollar translates to a 7.6% "cashback".

Before deciding between high cashback and unlimited cashback cards, make sure you analyse your monthly spending. Credit cards require the spending requirement to be made with categories that are eligible credit card transactions, which some of your monthly expenses may not be (ie cash payments, insurance, etc). If you're not able to consistently meet the credit card spending requirement, unlimited cashback cards may be a better option for you.
