Are the Cashback rates on Shopback/ Shopback Go good? what's the appeal of it? seems like the cashback rates are extremely minimal
Certainly, small cents make up to big dollars. It's really fuss free, no specific criteria to fulfil - just a matter of downloading their app, use it and always click through it to other merchants. :)
Of course! It's better to have some cashback, than no cashback at all! It will definitely end up in the long term, albeit slowly :) No harm to try it out too.
They are currently running their 1-for-1 deals (most of which end 31st Dec) - that is worth going for :)
Yes, some merchants do not offer very attractive cashback rates but remember, these cashback rates given are on top of what you can get from your credit cards i.e. the cashbacks are stackable. There's no harm to use it at all, especially when you're into savings. These "minimal" cashback can snowball over time - especially when there are times where the cashback % is quite attractive (e.g. 5%) during shopping festival periods.
Easy to use! most important for cashback program
Link 1 of your credit card to shopback go, and grab the rebates later
its not a lot of cashback, but its so easy to link and forget just use with those participating stores.
Bonus- there are always promotions and 1-for-1 deals that is damn great deals.
Yes, for sure! I've already recommended a number of my friends to Shopback Go. It's really hassle free as you just have to link your card to the account and that's it.
There are times that I didn't take note on whether I will receive cashback after a meal thus, it was a pleasant surprise when I get the notification that I received XX SGD of cashback. Did I mentioned that you can link more than a card to your shopback account? I've linked my credit cards as well as my Wirex card to my account. Receiving double rewards!
I'm one of the biggest fans of shopback. It's literally free money. Some of the cashback rates may be low but every few cents can add up to alot. I get most of my cashback from travelling. Booking hotel rooms get you from 6 to 10% cashback. Look out for upsized cashback days!
From time to time there are promotions for shopback/shopback go (eg:Guardian rebate etc) i would say there AFAIK is no harm using registering your credit card and earn rebates on shopback go.
In fact you may actually find surprise cashback in shopback go when you dont expect it.
This thread may help you understand the pros and cons of it.
Here is everything about me and what I do best.
Its fine to me. Just link to the cards you use (be it dash, grabpaymc, etc etc). Its a bonus to me and minimal effort to earn, unlike last time where you need to track it.
So just use it imho. Setting it up for cashback is really quite low effort.
Absolutely! It's sometimes a few cents of rebate, but any saving is good - especially when it's so fuss free.
It is quite hassle free. Just link your often used credit card with Shopback Go and it will automatically rebate $ to your account when you shop at participating stores. Sometimes there are good promos too.
Yes definitely! The rates defer but on shopping holidays/ sale periods, you can get really good upsized cashback (10-15% on top of store discounts). The whole process is so seamless as well. Just install a web add-on for Shopback on your computer and you can toggle it on and off.
For shopback Go, it's even easier because you only need to register your card once, then just use that card to pay as usual. No scanning of QR codes or activating anything at all.
The rates may not always seem like a lot, but it's free and you can stack rewards, so why not? The cashback is usually locked for a few months before you can withdraw it too so it's like a little saving (while shopping) plan 😝
Was never a firm believer of such concepts because they seemed too cumbersome at first.
However, they have this feature now where you can merely add on a Shopback plug-in to your browser. Whenever you visit a website with the availability of a cashback, merely click on the button to activate your cashback. Seems pretty nifty to me!
I also thought the cashback were minimal - that is until I tried it. To date, I’ve gotten cashback on up to 200 plus dollars.
Shopback go has especially great deals- just remember to use the correct card that is linked. For me, I always use one particular card for spend transactions so you can use the same tip as well! Sometime I would pay and unkownst to me, get notified about aforementioned cashback. Talk about a surprise windfall.
Shopback is also especially good with RateX which looks for promo codes to be applied on the same store. In fact I installed both chrome extensions on my browser.
Hope this helps!
Yes for sure!
Firstly, the cashback is real cash that is transferred into your bank account.
Secondly, The cashback is on top of whatever miles or cashback credit card you may have.
These 2 reasons would be good enough for you to sign up for shopback go
Yes! It has no drawbacks besides the security concern as you get to get Cashback on top of your credit card and shop discounts. A few dollars goes a long way I've drawn $70+ from Shopback alr which can go to a few nice meals :)
Definitely! The process is so fuss free, just gotta link your card and tap away. Sometimes I unknowingly earn cashback!
Every cents counts, especially its on top of existing discounts/promos/credit card rebates
