Any recommendations, online/physical shop?
Any brands? Or would you purchase it from IKEA?
Low to mid-range budget as I am a student and paying for it myself for my own room.

Hi Jie Sheng,
It would be good to try it physically first if possible! Following which you can try and source for the same product online.
Do understand that a mattress is an investment into your well-being. As you are going to use it on a daily basis, make sure you are comfortable with it firstly! If it is, then do check on the price points. Some reputable brands are having sales during this period, if not you can wait for black friday as well!
King koil, Simmons have some good offerings for a single/super single.
Hope i was able to provide you with some insight!

Buying a mattress is subjective and depends on what you are looking for, they have price ranges from $300 to $4000 for super single size.
For me personally, brand does not matter and especially if you are on a budget. What is more important will be actually testing the mattress itself if it is possible so you can get a feel of how the mattress feels when you lie on it.
It should be a long-term purchase which will be used daily, so make sure you get one that suits your comfort needs. Usually shops that specially sell mattress would be more expensive, especially if its from the big brands Cheaper alternatives can be found from mattresses that are manufactured locally and without branding.
