Where do you go for your research on mattress and any recommended physical shop/online website to purchase them from?

There are some places that you can go that can customize the mattresses for you based on your requirements. In the end, its still best to go try them out yourself, because a mattress is quite an expensive purchase, and you're going to spend a huge portion of your daily life in bed.

I googled a lot for the mattress because

• on one hand, mattress are overpriced a lot,

• tons of scam and marketing fluff

• sleeping is damn important!!!

in the end, tons of information from forum (u google mattress forum u will get lots of hits) and i just stick to the usual S brands mattress (shld be the Big 4 S. Serta, Sealy, Simmons..... i can't remember) on a big sales day and move on.

You are right, I personally prefer to go down and try it out first. Brands wise.. I am not sure but I have asked some friends and this brand called Tilam King came up, it's a local brand!

Some things to consider is whether you like a very soft bed (sinking in) or hard bed, or like in the middle. And when your partner toss and turn, do you want to not feel the movement? These are some considerations!

Personally King Koil has worked well for me so I could try them out at Courts, Harvey Norman and Robinsons!
