When Circuit Breaker measures ease, it also means we'll gradually return to working in the office. Are you looking forward to returning to the office or will you miss working from home?

Not all companies will go back immediately into the work-in-office arrangement but it will most probably be in phases. Until then, what would you prefer?

Let me answer this from another perspective! As a student, we have also shifted to home-based learning (HBL) where lectures, tutorials and examinations were all moved online. Initially, I believe just like most students, my first thought was "YES! No more school!", which means more sleep, no face to face lessons and studying at my own pace.

Although HBL does has its perks and benefits, it also made learning more challenging as some concepts were difficult to be delivered online and required face to face lessons to deliver better. Project meetings were also less productive and examination processes were more complicated than before.

Nevertheless, until the Circuit Breaker measures ease, I would still prefer HBL because it could save me travelling time (2-3 hours to and fro), give me more sleeping and family time, and to study at my own pace. Though, one thing that I miss is to meet and interact my friends! This is something that I am looking forward to after the Circuit Breaker measures end, but till then!

      Here’s the funny thing.

I remember the first two weeks of officially working from home, I didn’t enjoy it. While it was still business as usual and completely operational, I just felt that it was easier to discuss or have meetings with colleagues when we’re all in the same space.

But 1.5 months into working from home, I enjoy it now for many reasons. Just to name a few, I get to sleep in more!! That one hour morning commute is now an hour of additional sleeping time. I’m also spending lesser than I would usually do when life was normal back then. But what I liked most was being able to spend a heaping ton of time with my family, especially since I’m a super family kind of person.

While some companies will continue work-from-home arrangements, I believe more would go slowly go back to working in office. So until then, I’ll just enjoy what I have now :)

Definitely still prefer to work from home. It's time efficient, cost efficient, and most importantly...
