I’m turning 18 soon and I’m looking to start investing.
I have around $10k to invest with and I don’t need this money for the next 5years. Thinking of investing a huge portion in STI ETF.
Thank you.

There will be lots of people who will advise you on how to invest in different asset class, platform, strategy etc etc . Also, some of them will champion how their way beat/destroy the market average or other active investor out there. There's no need to get torn between different or conflicting opinions, take your time to read through all of them, digest and come out with an investment style that not only appeal to you but suit you long-term
The most important thing to rmb is that as long you are investing consistently, long-term and able to acheive at least an annualised return of 2.5% (to combat inflation rate / exceed CPF OA interest rate), you are already on the path of success.
Sometimes, its more vital to have investment EQ than IQ. All the best
