Cash Trading Account ("CTA") is linked to your CDP. They are the custodian of your Singapore shares, while Cash Upfront Trading Account ("CUT"), custodian will be CGS-CIMB Securities (S) Pte Ltd.

Cash Upfront requires you to deposit the money in the account before you can make a purchase. This feature allows you to have lower commisions (0.18%, subjected to a minimum) as compared to 0.275% for cash account.
