For extreme saving, cut out everything except for bare essentials. Even for food, sometimes seeing the deals on Fave (or current Shopback 1 for 1) could get your food at similar prices to food courts!
IMO, food courts aren't really that cheap these days.
The fun version...
Semi-hikikomori... No need to catch, but get me out if you can.
Semi... Scrooge McDuck, and no YOLO.
No children... but my parent.
Too many encouragement by married male friends to remain single... WTH!?!

No car... but BUS and MRT that works - FTW!

differentiate things you want to buy as a NEED or a WANT. Buy those that you need.
track your expenses by reading your bank statements
limit the use of cash, having cash in your pocket will make you want to spend them
leverage on cash back apps
I can tell you to note down your expenses; pay yourself first blah blah but honestly for me it doesn't always works. Like I can tell you frankly right now I'm supposed to note my daily expenses into my mondly app but I didn't.. yet I still manage to save money based on my plan.
Because I keep scaring the shit outta myself.
By scaring myself into thinking "shit, I wouldn't have enough to pay for xxx" and thinking of the unthinkable.. it makes me rethink of my buys. I still indulges but for bigger items.. I think long and hard. Example: I thought of purchasing a $120 backpack for myself few months back. After thinking through for 3 months; I still wanted to get it. In the end I scared myself and googled for something on taobao; managed to get it at 1/3 the price and happy with the purchases now.
Find the intrinsic value that drives you to your goal first; then the tiny steps of actionable items to get there.
Adopt a '3 day rule' habit to avoid impulse buying. Give yourself 3 days to think whether to purchase the product. Normally for me, the 2nd day I'll forget about it and remembered it weeks after. Then I give myself a 3 day rule again. And if it's determined as I really need it, I'll get it.
If i have to answer this question then i definitely say that i got with empty pocket because there are experiences to me that filling pocket empties it so factly which i don't want to experience further this is why i start travelling with cards and because of that a sort of hold on usage kelp for sometimes but as you know the recent times started keeping the card's usage everywhere and the online apps which again got back my status of spendings back but i really don't bother about much as i know there is no other way on saving from taking out but yes, the places where i have to save i definitely do. If i purchase or i order & book, i make sure that i make use of the possible coupons that can get the biggest discount on bookings for to help the best on everytime orders or usage of anything that i get. In this whole process, i found those coupon websites like Rezeem.com helped me a lot.
Get people to spend on you. =P
It can be done.
If you can't, then you need to harness good habit
1) dun smoke
2) dun drink beer or wine unless is free
3) automate ur salary to be saved in a saving account with the save first then spend mentality
4) increase ur income from side job and save that income
5) make your money work hard for u by generating yield that can cover ur expenses with interest or Dividend per annum.
6) Spend only when there are value and discount tt gives u benefits like cash rebate or shopback.
Hope my reply helps.

Go find a side gig to do, an extra incomes booths a whole lot more than having to work with limited income and budget. TIll then, savings will be greaterl increase.
Remembering that for every dollar i spent, it could have been used to invest for a compounded returns of 5% annually. It makes me very careful with what i spend
Not buying drinks during mealtimes. You save money and you save your health (from sugar).
Key in your expenses in an expense tracker. At the end of the month, do a review and see where you can cut your expenses.
Suggest cheaper places when meeting friends.
set a budget for each day.

Online wise, I will always use Shopback as much as possible (yes, I once used it to earn $0.07 cashback for a Lazada purchase...)
