Minimalist. I mean...the SG environment is already feeling so cluttered and oversaturated, so I don't wanna come home to a cluttered house! Scandi/minimalistic homes tend to feel somewhat cold to me so warm tones are great, mix of light and dark wood, whites and neutrals. There are great options for laminate/wood like tile flooring that are waterproof/scratch resistant so I'll likely be going for that! something like this house perhaps? :)

Some of the greatest homes blend with different themes you've just mentioned. Why? Because the building of a house requires Sets plans to work with. When you're building a home, most of the times you are yet to fill it with memories and treasures
It would be fun to see what you come up with.
When I first proposed a modern design to my significant other, she said hmm that looks cold and dark. I realised that she was way ahead of me. She was preparing to build a home for us and our children. She wanted to feel at home.
All the best with the experience.

For me my ideal home is something that is very uniquely me and my partner, I would love to pick up old furniture and restore it to a new style. Older hand crafted furnitures are usually sturdier as they are made of better wood as well.
Oh there's this Instagram called @secondcharm that has really nice inspo for such furniture.
