What is the poorest/most broke you have ever been?

This is a great question and a great reminder... Thank you. Not financially competent but I'll try haha.

I was broke once; to the point that I have to buy breadtalk dome and eat it for a day's meal.

Constantly having to worry about next meal and a roof over my head.

Then things got better and forgot all the hardships and start to splurge 😡 so your question is in everyway relevant to finance.. and thank you for reminding the hard times in life to avoid falling back into the same plight (though not by choice!)

Poor until when financial planner tried to plan for my future and asked how much savings I had, I was too paiseh to say $200 😂 that was right after uni before I started work!

My situtation might not be as bad as some.

I was once so broke till I live on bread, cracker biscuits and instant noodles and bring the leftover meals from previous night for lunch to cut down the expenses. Once in a while I'll splurge on 1 meat 1 vege chap chye peng at $2.30.

I was too broke until i got no money to take bus and have to walk home.
