What is the difference between investing ETFs through broker vs RSS? I can do fixed deposit manually through broker too, why do I need RSS, and what’s makes it different? Am I missing out something here?

A Regular Savings Plan helps in “enforcing” regular contributions to your investment, a good habit to have. By doing it manually, people tend to forget or try to time the market. I believe the fees for RSS tend to be cheaper most of the time as well.

I believe that the only difference will just be the execution when investing ETFS through broker vs RSS. At the end of the day, you will be buying into the ETFs. For broker, you have the freedom in choosing when you want to buy in but with RSS or RSP, it only buy into ETF on specific date.

We are talking about convenience.
