What is the best way to maximize my cashback with the SC XtraSaver debit card?

Any specific spending I should use this card for to enjoy the maximum cashback? I feel like I'm currently not making the most out of this card.

Hey Anon!

Depending on your account balance, the cashback that you will get out of transactions will be different. You may like to take a look at the table below.

You will only be able to enjoy the maximum cashback of 3% on Mastercard transactions and 15% on petrol if you have an account balance of S$200,000 and above (which is a really huge amount). However, do note that there is also a monthly cashback cap for each component which is fixed regardless of the percentage of cashback that you are getting.

2 more points to note, which may be why you are unable to enjoy the maximum cashback as well!

CashBack is applicable if the average daily balance in the linked chequing account calculated at the end of each calendar month is SGD6,000 and above.
CashBack is not applicable for bill payments made via SCB Online Banking from the XtraSaver Current Account, NETS transactions and top up of NETS cash card.
