For me, it is quite a simple yet memorable experience - where I was bumped up from a Scoot to SQ flight. What was supposed to be a sleepless 8 hour flight, became one of utmost comfort - comparatively. Adding on the free meals and most of us having the full row of seats, it became one of my best airline experience.

According to Scoot, they had a "tighter aircraft utilization across their network arising from travel demand" hence the Scoot flight was unable to fulfill the return flight. Whatever the reason, kudos to both Scoot and SQ!

For me, I would say business SQ is definitely the best out of the ones I have done.

I feel slightly fake with the niceness the staff has but to be honest, I rather take that over some other airlines where the staff is rather not pleasent even in a business ticket.

So far I have flown only in economy across all flights.

The best experience I had was Qatar airways return from Doha to Singapore. During that flight, there were only 8 passengers in economy. That included my 3 friends and I.

Service for food and drinks was extremely fast and I enjoyed having 3 seats to myself. One of the best experience I had which will definitely never repeat

Everybody here seems pretty rich, to have been flying Business Class so much. I'm quite poor so I can only share my experience on Economy Class!

The full-fledge airlines that I've flew with - Singapore Airlines, Finnair, China Southern, Cathay Pacific, ANA.

My ranking based on personal experience:

  1. ANA

  2. Singapore Airlines

  3. Finnair

  4. Cathay Pacific

  5. China Southern

Honestly speaking, the reason why Singapore Airlines is ranked no. 2 because unlike ANA, Singapore Airlines have inconsistent standard of service. If you're lucky, the service crew is proper and friendly, assist you with your baggage, attend to your pings fast. If you're unlucky, you get a bunch of service crew who only bother to help Caucasians who are tall enough to settle their own baggage, reply to you curtly or make you wait for the service for 30 minutes. Food, entertainment and comfort of seats for Singapore Airlines are top-notch although I can also say the same for ANA too, just that ANA has consistent service and they don't treat you unfairly just because you're non-Caucasian/non-Japanese, which is the sole reason why it's better that Singapore Airlines for me.

I flew on the 787 Dreamliner with Finnair. Entertainment was good (recent movies were available), food portion was good too albeit slightly blend taste, the seat was spacious and comfortable. The only complaint that I have, which is might more plane-related than airline-related is that the night light is too bright yet Finnair did not have a single eye mask on the plane, despite it having a flight time of close to 13 hours! Because of this lack of preparation on their end and not-as-nice food, they fall short from the top of my list.

Cathay Pacific was not satisficatory to meet my expectations of a 5-star airline. I flew Boeing 777 with them, which is spacious and the seat was quite comfortable. It didn't come across as clean as ANA and Singapore Airlines but it wasn't too bad. But the food was horrible (for a 5-star airline). Portion was small, food was overcooked and lumpy. Service was average, the service crew did not seem that friendly.

I flew China Southern to China. China Southern felt more like a regional airline, similar to SIlkAir. Planes are quite small, there isn't an individual screen for entertainment. Service was alright, nothing to complain about but nothing much to praise for either. The snacks given tasted odd; instead of the usual nuts and biscuits that most airlines would give, China Southern gave some preserved vegetable strand thing that apparently is quite a common snack in China? My friend and I didn't like it though. The meal provided is also very Chinese-oriented, with a lot of sour/preserved food flavour, which I don't fancy. Needless to say, I don't rank it high. The good thing about China Southern is that their fares are very reasonable.

Best is Business Class of SQ Airlines from Singapore to Los Angeles & coming forth New York to Singa...
