The price of a key raw material/final product: coffee industry, oil industry
New regulation for a particular industry: deregulation of airline industry in
many countries
New taxation on an industries
General influence of economic factors on specific industries
So, economy-wide and industry analyses should precede the company analysis
For some firms, macroeconomics and industry factors might have greater influence on profits than the firm’s relative performance in its industry
